SENCHIM

Agriculture-Sector Leader Open to Partnerships
Senchim provides world-class products and services for the agriculture sector in Senegal and throughout sub-Saharan Africa. It serves as the marketing subsidiary for Industries Chemiques du Sénégal (ICS, Senegal Chemical Industries) and also produces its own agricultural products. ICS I is Senegal's biggest industrial enterprise; it produces phosphate, phosphoric acid and fertilizers.
As Mr. Alla Dieng, Directeur Délégué explains, “Senchim has confirmed its leadership role in its sector. We have both proven expertise and a well developed industrial base. Our regional distribution network, which includes a presence in the Ivory Coast, along with our diverse and constantly evolving portfolio of products, combines to give us a competitive edge.” Senchim is a member of the International Fertilizer Industry Association and other international organizations.
One of the company’s core activities is its phytopharmaceutical laboratory, which develops cutting-edge pharmaceuticals products based on plants. The lab ensures the highest quality throughout the production process. “All our products are tested in institutes that guarantee quality,” Mr. Dieng says.
Diverse product portfolio
Senchim’s product portfolio includes all types of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, as well as seed stock, soil treatments, spraying equipment and more. Its production facility for liquid insecticides has a capacity of 30,000 liters per day, while its facility for producing powdered insecticides has a capacity of 10,000 liters per day. Senchim makes its products available in all types of forms, from barrels to packages with individual doses. In addition, Senchim’s herbicide facility is unique in Africa. It has two production lines and a capacity of 10,000 liters per day.
Senchim also provides essential support to agricultural producers throughout the region. It serves as a consultant, makes systematic visits to customers and sales points, and regularly organizes seminars, training sessions and other activities to boost the region’s agricultural development.
Senchim aims to expand throughout the region and to increase its market share in Senegal and in other markets. The company welcomes the support of international investors looking for opportunities in Africa’s rapidly developing agricultural sector.
Mr. Dieng concludes, “All investors are welcome at Senchim. We are looking to establish both financial and technical partnerships to help us develop our activities.”
